Rather than throw out the unwanted contents of your closet, consider having your building host a re-fashioNYC clothing bin. Re-fashioNYC is a partnership between the City of New York and Housing Works which allows residents in apartment buildings of 10 or more units to donate clothes, towels, blankets, curtains, shoes, handbags, belts, and other textiles and apparel through convenient in-building drop-off service.
